Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well despite the current situation. I'm a bit puzzled and need some guidance. The title mentioned my PC isn't booting with dual channel anymore. I recently upgraded to an air cooler from Thermaltake UX200, replaced the stock cooler, and added thermal paste. Everything seems to be working except for the lack of booting. I powered off everything, cut the power cord, removed the CPU, and checked it—most components were fine. After reinstalling RAM, I still faced issues. I tried booting with just one stick, then switched to two, but nothing changed. I attempted a CMOS reset and even used dual channel, which failed. Now I'm considering whether a bent pin in the CPU might be the cause. My build is my fifth over the years, and this is the first time something like this happened. I'm unsure if anyone will read this long, but I'd appreciate any advice or information. This is really stressful, especially since it's my first time dealing with this problem. Let me know if you have any suggestions!
Did you take out the RAM during the CPU cooler replacement? Did you test all four RAM ports? Were there any bent or warped gold contact pins in the affected RAM slot? I think it might be: a bent/damaged CPU pin, impacted the memory slots, or a damaged DIMM slot when installing or removing RAM.
Yes i did remove the RAMS YES i did Try all four RAM Slots with both RAM sticks , if its one RAM it boots and also like i said above even having both my RAM Sticks in single channel (A1 , A2) slots it does boot too and recognize both of them ( am using the same PC to write here as you can see in the picture attached ) Yes i did check , i even bought a brand new motherboard just to be sure it's not a RAM slot issues , am having the Same scenario as my answers above Bent / damage CPU pin(s), affected the memory slots : i'm thinking the same , but i checked my CPU twice , its seems proper , if its only a one pin case scenario i think i might have to check the CPU again using a Magnifying Glass or something like that Damaged DIMM (memory) slot, when removing / reinstalling RAM : as i explained above the Slots are fine and the RAM sticks too please if you have some knowledge am missing or something please share , and Thank you for taking the time
