The latest HP Bios update seems problematic, leading to frequent window freezes and low frame rates on games. It’s also pushing CPU temps up to 99.4°C, which isn’t ideal for laptops. I attempted a rollback to F.05 but encountered an error about signature files. I’m currently using the Win+B method, and Secure Boot is turned off in the BIOS—seems unrelated. The laptop model is HP Pavilion ec-0029ax, running BIOS version F.08 Rev. A, previously F.05. There are also significant stutters that make gaming difficult. I’ve tried flashing the BIOS from a USB drive.

HP likely blocked a rollback of the BIOS. Upgrades are possible, but not downgrades.

When I read that update, some suggested visiting the service center for a fix.
