Hey there, I see you're having some trouble with Killer Instinct. Let me try to understand what's going on. You've been trying to reinstall it for two days without success, starting with an error message during launch. After uninstalling and reinstalling, it downloads a lot of data quickly—about 20 gigabytes—and then halts at around 27 megabytes, triggering the same error. You've already checked many fixes: added the AUInstallAgent folder, tried safe booting, ran wsreset.exe, reinstalled Windows Store, and even contacted Microsoft support. It's frustrating, especially since the first time you downloaded it, a power surge cut your PC off mid-load. Could this power issue be related to the download? Let me know if you want to explore that angle further.

Your download could be damaged, a newer update might exist, or the issue may lie with Windows. Consider locating and removing any files currently saved on your device.

I've been searching for those files but haven't found them. They seem missing from the usual places like WindowsApps and WUDownloadCache.

Currently, the only choice that comes to mind is restoring Windows.

I observed another issue. I attempted to apply the guidance provided, but I installed the game on E:\ while the SoftwareDistribution folder remained on C:\. The folder named SoftwareDistribution appears to be inaccessible, even when using administrator commands.

It says the task can't be finished since the folder or file is still running in another program.
