I purchased a B550 Aorus Elite V2 rev 1.2 with a Ryzen 5 5600 to enhance my setup, but it doesn’t boot into BIOS. The system fans turn on, the motherboard lights activate, and the BIOS screen appears—yet it won’t start with the BIOS. After some time, I swapped in a Ryzen 5 3600, and suddenly everything worked: lights came on, the motherboard lit up, and the BIOS displayed correctly. However, the 5600 still didn’t boot. What might be causing this confusion? Your system details are clear: motherboard Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite v2 (rev 1.2), old MSI B450M Pro maxed out, CPU changed to Ryzen 5 5600, GPU to 3060TI, RAM Corsair Vengeance LPX 8x2 at 3200MHz, PSU Corsair CV 650W, SSDs Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM and WD Sn570, plus a 1TB HDD.

Reset CMOS following BIOS update. If the 3600 functions properly, the 5600 might be faulty.

Could it be the motherboard? It's puzzling since I've seen some systems where one CPU functions while another fails, sometimes just the motherboard.

This RAM model isn't included in the official memory support list, and there are reports of issues with Zen 3 processors. It might be contributing to the problem.
