I purchased a 2x8 (16-19-19-39) kit with 1.5v 4400mhz RAM, but it doesn’t reach the rated speeds. When configuring the XMP profile it suggests 4000mhz and defaults to 1.4v. Running at either setting fails to boot properly. The system starts but enters safe mode repeatedly. The only solution is to run it without overclocking. I have an R7 5800x and an ASUS TUF X570 Wi-Fi board.
Optimal performance usually comes from using 3800mhz without needing major adjustments to voltage or timing. The Ryzen struggles above this frequency because of how the infinity fabric connects with RAM speeds.
