I possess a 500 Gb Samsung 850 EVO that sustained damage and needs replacement since it fails to maintain a SATA data cable correctly, leading to disconnections during use. I replaced it with a WD Black SN750 NVMe drive (1 Tb) and cloned the original using Macrium Reflect. Everything appears functional now, but it still won’t boot without the Samsung drive. The issue isn’t related to boot order; it seems there’s a missing file or data inconsistency. I’ve attempted recloning, used a forensic clone, and tried running bcdedit in the command prompt, but results remain unchanged. Please assist! I’ve spent all day working on this, reviewed numerous forums, and watched many videos, yet it still doesn’t work.

I faced the same problem too. The top choice was to reinstall Windows on a functioning drive. Don’t forget to save any crucial files beforehand.

It seems you're having trouble transferring files because moving them disrupts the software. You might want to clone the drive instead.

If these are files you can get from the internet, I wouldn’t be concerned about moving them, as it might lead to more issues than solutions. I was thinking about sending crucial papers instead, since you can always download and log in later.

Yes, but losing my position and keys means everything will change.

The license is connected to your Microsoft account for Office 2013 or later, otherwise you can use Produkey.
