Good morning everyone, I just set up a new PC myself. I repurposed my old m.2 SSD from my laptop and transferred some files to the new drives. When I attempted to install Windows 10 on the same drive, the setup process didn’t start. Instead of seeing the usual error, I encountered this message using Rufus, which I’ve used before but never had this issue before. It appears to work even when Secure Boot is turned off. Model: Gigabyte Aorus B650 Elite AX CPU: Ryzen 7 7700X

I wasn't expecting it. I downloaded 22H2 from the Microsoft website. Afterward, I managed to use it once I applied the media creation tool.

I discovered a discussion on Tom’s Hardware forums that could assist you. One participant faced a comparable problem with their Gigabyte Aorus B650 Elite AX motherboard and managed to fix it by using another USB drive for Windows 10 installation. You might also consider updating your BIOS to the most recent release, as this could improve the installation experience.

Hi, I've tested multiple USB drives without success. After updating to the latest BIOS and then downgrading, it didn't help. I usually used Rufus, but after using Microsoft's Media Creation tool, I was able to boot and install a new Windows version. It seems my board doesn't work well with Rufus.

Try using Etcher; you might have benefited more from that approach. Additionally, you could have used an infected ISO.

I'll work with etcher moving forward. The ISO came through Microsoft directly without issues.
