Failed raid with complete data loss.
In short, I had a RAID 1 configuration with two 2TB WD Blue drives for photos, but never used them for that purpose. I mainly used it for gaming. Over time, the drives got full, and because our internet speed is slow, an 80GB file could take a week to download. That made deleting anything expensive. I read that turning off RAID could risk losing data, though the loss was likely minimal. I thought maybe I had disabled it via Windows Disk Management a few years ago, possibly through the motherboard BIOS (MSI), which might have contributed to the issue. If anyone knows how to recover the data, it would be really helpful.
there were no partitions, so I created one on a separate drive and it was empty.
For the drive, the formatting appears only as a black line in disk management. If the information is crucial, I’ll forward it to data recovery services. Otherwise, I’ll begin using data recovery tools on the hard drive.
