get the iso and copy it onto a usb drive. use rufus to set the boot sequence so the usb starts first. adjust the bios settings to prioritize the usb during startup.

Reinstall the ISO file often. It seems to fail sometimes, but usually fixing the mount works. I also rely on a Windows USB installation tool.

certain usb drives have issues, particularly with usb 3 models attempting usb 2 versions

Use a USB 2.0 connection or drive. Windows 7 likely doesn’t support USB 3.0.
