I've encountered a problem starting from my USB drive. I've tried saving files on a flash drive using various programs to rule out that as the cause. I formatted the drive with DiskPart and ensured it was clean, but still can't boot Ubuntu from the USB. In UEFI settings, I set it to boot primarily from the USB, then force boot, and each time the screen goes black before returning to the menu. This is frustrating, especially since I'm just starting out. Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Several distinct programs are available. The way you display the image matters. You might need alternative options if a certain USB drive isn’t working—do you have another one to test?

I made the bootable USB using Rufus or Unetbootin. There’s usually a boot menu available after the process starts.

I began using usbimager, the latest version being balena. I haven’t used Rufus yet. It offers more customization features. I also have another USB device available for testing. Although I can’t pinpoint a specific reason, I’ve considered whether my USB being USB-C while my laptop only has Thunderbolt ports might complicate things. Additionally, I noticed the 128GB capacity could be a problem. The storage size seems to be an issue for me.

I've tried usbimager and balena, but I can't access my laptop's UEFI settings or adjust boot preferences beyond that.
