I’m considering upgrading to a new SSD soon. I’m unsure whether to install Ubuntu or Windows 7—it’s been enough time with Ubuntu, but the main reason for hesitation is the limited Netflix support. Only a few games are available, though I believe you can play them via Wine. If you could share some links on how to make more games work on Linux and improve Netflix functionality on Ubuntu, that would be really helpful. I’d also appreciate advice on which option to choose, especially since I’ve already installed the Netflix desktop app but it isn’t working properly. Please let me know your thoughts, and thank you for your help!

Windows dominates the gaming scene, but if you're a hipster, mac or Linux might be better. Go with Windows, buddy!

The Windows 8 lineup is quite poor. It's shifting toward a touch interface instead of traditional mouse usage.

since I already have valid Windows 7 licenses, there’s no need to invest more money in them.

Windows 8 and 8.1 are perfectly fine. You're accustomed to the traditional start menu.

I don’t have any issues with Windows 8 or 8.1, it’s just that I’m using Windows 7 right now.

It doesn't seem as optimized for hardcore gaming as Windows 7, just that way

I used Windows 8.1... everything functions smoothly with the mouse and KB. Also, playing BF4 worked just fine.
