Sell the 3600, purchase a refurbished 5600 or better get a 5700x3D on AliExpress for around $140. It’s a huge upgrade since CS2 scales well in cache unlike CSGO.
Overclocking can be quite challenging. The GPU helps a bit but RAM is still a limiting factor. Sometimes the components resist changes. I tried an EVGA 1070—it only reached about +10Hz, while my 1060 handled 100 and even more with undervolt. Vengeance RAM didn’t stick either. I used Gskill to clock them up to 3600 MHz, which worked well for different CPUs. It’s not very exciting unless you enjoy tinkering, but it’s not worth it unless you have a real interest in older hardware.
I've been working hard to get more power from this machine for five years, but it still refuses to perform its task.
