Hey everyone, thanks for checking me in. I ran into a problem after selecting a GPU in April. When I play games, my graphics card suddenly speeds up extremely fast. I've tried tweaking the fan curve, but it doesn't make much difference. I bought a Gigabyte 7800XT Gaming OC with 16GB RAM and the fan curve is set as shown. Recently, I felt like playing Path of Exile, but the performance is way too intense—it's almost overwhelming. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this? Could it be the fans in this card that are really loud?

It’s possible to configure a steady fan rate similar to 60% and you’d notice less noise. This occurs when your GPU reaches high temperatures, which can happen quickly on more powerful graphics cards. Your card experiences the same issue unless you adjust it manually.

I'm wrapping up this thread now. It looks like I had both Gigabyte Control Center and Adrenaline installed, but GCC took control and set it to "Quiet," which I didn’t notice. Everything is working smoothly now and there’s no noise. Thanks for the update.

Checked if reducing the frame rate was possible. Also looked into enhancing the case's airflow.

You might not see the issue right away when you lower the GPU fans, but overheating can still affect performance. In games like COD, skipping fan profiles causes your card to heat up significantly, triggering warning icons for performance problems. Always monitor temperatures during gameplay.
