Hey everyone, yesterday I was chatting on Discord with friends and suddenly my mic stopped working. I did everything I could—updated drivers, rolled them back, disabled and enabled the mic via device admin, switched from rear to front panel, even tried a different mic. Still nothing. One time when I toggled the device it worked fine for a few seconds but then cut off again after five seconds. Testing the mic often gives me static, my voice, or silence after a short pause. I checked online and found others with the same issue who fixed it by updating drivers. My motherboard is a Gigabyte H470M H and the headset is a Hyperx Cloud Stinger. I also experimented with changing settings on the Realtek interface, but it didn’t help much. I really appreciate any advice or solutions you might have.

Ensure Windows is current Check where you obtained the drivers and visit your motherboard website to download and install the newest ones. For Intel INF, use the Intel Serial I/O driver; for Realtek HD Audio, update the graphics drivers to the latest version to fix any HDMI audio conflicts. Verify the correct audio device is selected.

Thanks for the help, I just finished trying these and it couldn´t fix it. I also stopped some services and started them up again, and tried repairing files but the cmd didn´t find any to fix. Another interesting thing is that when I set the mic to max volume and test it in discord all I hear is a little static and then pure silence. I´m currently waiting on an answer from both Gigabyte and Realtek support. If they send me any solution I´ll upload it here. In the meanwhile I hope I receive more suggestions from this site.

It seems like you're dealing with an issue and looking for solutions. If the fix isn't possible, consider buying a compatible wireless headset with a USB dongle for a similar experience.
