Extremely hot performance on an i5 13600K with a 1600GB Z690 chipset and Peerless Assassin 120 motherboard.
I upgraded with an i5 13600k, Gigabyte Z690 MOBO, and Peerless Assassin 120 cooler. My temps sit in the 90s during Core-Temp and Furmark tests. My VID stays near 1.07-1.2 and occasionally reaches about 1.3 under load briefly—definitely not the issue. I adjusted the fan speed in BIOS to full and didn’t notice a drop in temperature when it started up loudly. I expected better cooling, but it still isn’t working as well as hoped. Any advice to help lower the temps?
Consider reattaching the cooler and performing a refinish. Ensure both fans are installed correctly to avoid mistakes.
Something is definitely wrong here, I just went onto RPCS3 and my temperatures went into the 90s. I paid my local PC store to install my stuff for me, how can I know if my CPU cooler is fit properly or not?
The TF 7 Thermal Paste is listed on the Newegg site via this link: https://www.newegg.ca/p/0VE-01P6-00030?I...D51JPG3785
I haven’t handled the cooler before, which makes me nervous about doing it myself. I need to be sure it’s installed correctly.
