I've spent a lot of time in racing games and sims like War Thunder, but now I'm craving some action in FPS. Yet the whole scene feels frustrating. The Rainbow Six Siege dev seems to be taking casual players for granted while keeping its esports side alive (and I wouldn't be surprised if XDefiant and Extraction follow the same path). CS is still clumsy and just annoying to play. Call of Duty is launching again this year, Destiny has a huge DLC price for little content, and Valorant hasn't been great for me. I'm just not sure which multiplayer shooters to choose next.
I received an RSI while studying speedbuild. I wouldn't want it again, unless a Fortnite update would disable builds.
Competitive FPS titles often trigger RSI, particularly for those who’ve experienced it before. I’m familiar with this issue because I’ve struggled with RSI since becoming a dedicated gamer and tech user. It tends to flare up when I’m working on the computer as well. Proceed with caution in high-stakes competitive games. For fans of FPS, single-player options like Fallout, Bioshock, and Borderlands can be a better fit due to calmer online environments.
