Hello everyone, I’m facing some significant problems lately with my BIOS running very slowly—about 57 seconds on startup. After upgrading from an I7-9700k to a Ryzen 5 7800X3D, I expected performance improvements, but I still experience slow program launches and load times. At first, I thought the SSD was failing, but it seems unrelated. Fast booting didn’t help either. I’m unsure what’s causing this sluggishness and would appreciate any advice or common issues you might know about.

It's the DDR5 and Ryzen 7000 lineup; some systems still take a while to boot—originally 5 to 6 minutes, but after BIOS updates most boards are much quicker now. Just search online for "DDR5 long boot time" and you'll see many discussions about possible fixes based on your motherboard. Coming from the 90s, I'm used to those delays, so mine usually takes about 25-30 seconds.

Keep this in mind: AMD systems generally boot a bit slower than Intel ones. Still, 11-12 seconds is typical for the Ryzen 7000 series. Make sure your BIOS/UEFI is up to date. WARNING: When updating, adhere strictly to the motherboard guidelines—follow the letter instructions carefully. If prompted to reset all settings, do it. Restart and proceed with the next steps. If your drive is attached, remove it beforehand. In UEFI/BIOS, turn off any unused devices or controllers. Disable CSM, enable UEFI mode if available, set memory to EXPO (EXPO-II for ASUS). Activate "Restore Memory Context." Alongside this, verify Secure Boot is enabled and configured as Windows (if possible), and ensure TPM/fTPM is active. Global C-State should be turned on.

Thanks! I’ll go through the steps. It seems unrelated to the bios version since it goes beyond systems. Initially faced issues with my I7 (crashes, etc.) before switching to the am5 chip. The bios performance stayed consistent.
