I run on an i5 9400f with a stock cooler and two case fans. The temps were initially 75-77°C, then rose to about 81°C during games. My desktop is only a year old, and after changing the thermal paste and cleaning the fans, it’s now around 81°C. I checked the temperature while gaming and have warranty coverage. Is this issue with my processor or the fans?

The Intel stock coolers are quite poor when compared to what AMD offers—like getting a fresh air cooler or an all-in-one unit.

When you purchased it, temperatures ranged from 75 to 77 degrees, then increased to 81 to 90. After cleaning and reconditioning, the temperature settled around 81. Regarding the surrounding air, that’s the information you asked about.

The stock coolers aren't performing well; the readings seem accurate. Consider purchasing an aftermarket model for $20 to $30.

According to everyone else, it's time for a fresh cooler. The Intel stock model isn't great, and the temperatures I've seen (around 75-77°C) are still quite high in my view. A more affordable option would be better.

The air in your room feels fine. You don’t rely on air conditioning, and usually the window stays shut.
