Extreme temperatures within BIOS settings
I just completed assembling my PC using these components: Mother Board: MSI B550 Gaming Gen 3 CPU: Ryzen 9 3900X PSU: Corsair RM80X AIO Cooler: Corsair iCUE h150i elite capellix xt. Once I entered the BIOS, temperatures rose to about 60 degrees and then climbed to around 90. I’m unsure what’s causing this issue, but I suspect my AIO pump isn’t receiving power. Despite everything being plugged in correctly, the RGB on the pump doesn’t activate, and I can’t hear it when I turn off all the fans. I attempted connecting the pump’s 3-pin cable to CPU_FAN 1, PUMP_FAN 1, and SYSTEM_FAN 3. The BIOS showed some RPM readings, but nothing cooled down. All fans spin and flash red as well. Could this be related to my CPU or motherboard? How should I troubleshoot the problem? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Did you link the AIO with the provided Commander CORE? The 24-pin Pump cable is used for the pump's power, which connects to the CORE that links to the SATA power outlet. Fans are routed through the Commander core, while the pump tach cable feeds into the CPU fan. RGB connectors are placed at the bottom of the CORE. Finally, plug it into the SATA power and one of the USB 2.0 ports.
I had an MSI Mag Coreliquid 360R v2 aio before switching to my new one. The pump noise was audible, yet the CPU temperature stayed extremely high. After returning it, I got a fresh AIO, but now this unit isn’t functioning properly. Can you check if the issue might be elsewhere?
Before I consider sending it back, have you thought about checking other components like the CPU or RAM to rule out those issues? The BIOS indicates the pump is active and shows RPM data—you could also capture a screenshot for reference.
I am completely certain about this. This was the initial point I verified.
It's interesting. I've only used Corsair AIOs for the last 13 years, and everyone around me has the same setup. We've never faced any problems with them.
