It's possible the HDD is causing issues. You might notice poor connection and stuttering when using a 5400RPM drive, especially in certain games (I've experienced this myself with a WD Green drive).

It seems like the drive is a 7400 at 5400 RPM.

Irrelevant, 5400 and 7200 RPM don't indicate much about performance.

Don't worry, but I suggest opting for a 7200rpm HDD or a bigger SSD for gaming. A 5400RPM speed is too slow for a game library.
