Hello Everyone, as agreed, I’m planning to boost my RAM for better speed. I aim to enhance performance, especially if it really helps. Right now I have G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (two 8GB units) in DDR4-2400. I need at least 16GB total, DDR4 only, and either RED, BLACK, or RGB. Watercooling is fine for me. Here are my other specs if needed: budget around £100-£120. Amazon is usually preferred but I’m open to other places. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Case: NZXT H710 Matte Black/Red
CPU: ROG Z390-H Strix Gaming
CPU: Intel Core i5-9600k @ 3.7GHz
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 3GB
Cooler: Corsair H100x AIO Water Cooler with SP120 PE 120mm x2
Fans: NZXT Aer F120 x3
Power Supply: Corsair RM650x
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB SSD
OS: Windows 10 64-bit

Cheers! Millsy

It varies by activity; in games, it's usually just a small impact on frames per second, while in everyday use, you might not even notice it.

Agree, minimal impact in gaming, margin of error in most cases unless you have a CPU bottleneck but the gains wont outweigh the spend imho (I try to look at $100 for at least 10% gain)

You appreciate their suggestions, but I’ll review those videos. If it doesn’t help much, then why invest in faster RAM anyway? It seems some people opt for the cheaper 2400MHz options.

Same idea folks opt for a Mercedes over a Toyota. Status update. "Gamer" carries the same vibe in gaming rigs, just like "audiophile" fits sound equipment, matching the cost.

The issue involves AMD CPUs requiring higher frequency memory to operate at their optimal performance levels.

Match RAM speed with your needs; any above specified isn't used.
