Hello, I've noticed some unexpected ping spikes while playing games recently. I'm using a wireless adapter (Linksys AC1200) with both 2.4GHz and 5GHz options. The spikes mainly appear on the 2.4GHz network, not the 5GHz one. Normally it goes from about 45 ping to 800 ping, then drops back quickly. These spikes are random and don't follow any pattern. Since I don’t have an Ethernet connection, that’s ruled out. Do you know if there’s a solution for this issue? Thanks.

Avoid relying solely on 5GHz. 2.4GHz can interfere with everyday devices, which might explain what you're experiencing.

Your connection speed on 5GHz will perform well. Simply link to that device.

I wonder if it occurs when someone activates the microwave. Remember, microwaves broadcast 2.4 GHz signals and my microwave was around 1000 watts. WiFi routers in the US are capped at 1 Watt by regulation. So yes... you can identify the problem.
