Hello everyone, I recently purchased some PC components a few months back. The cooling system has been struggling from the start, and my Ryzen 5 would reach up to 84°C under full load with the original cooler. Initially, I upgraded to an aftermarket cooler (https://www.amazon.com/DEEPCOOL-GT-BK-Mo...B074P3JCXX). This improved the situation, but it still climbs above 75°C. I later suspected an airflow issue, as my GPU would also overheat at times. So, I added two case fans, which now keep the GPU below 65-67°C, but the CPU remains a problem—today it hit 78°C. Many users manage to stay within safe limits with the stock cooler and two fans, but I’m facing challenges. Someone could offer advice or solutions?
Ensure proper seating using Ryzen Master. Check temperatures are stable. Verify thermal paste quantity is adequate.
It looks like an airflow problem is likely, which is quite typical for these types of PC cases. The front panel obstructs the two intake fans you have. I used a Phantom P400 with a fully flush front panel like yours. I reinstalled the top two fans as intake and adjusted the exhaust fan to run at higher RPM. You can either take out the front fans or reinstall them as exhaust.
To confirm if the issue is airflow-related, remove the side panel and check the temperatures. Reattach it and see if the temps drop. If they rise again, try the steps above.
I'm using Ryzen Master and Core Temp. The cooler fits snugly, and the thermal paste was fine when I installed it. I'll recheck later.
My performance is strong at 3800x with solid temps around 75°C during Cinebench, while the AI-O cooler keeps it cool at 35-40°C during idle.
