Appears to be typical boosting if you have a contemporary desktop processor. In low-current situations, the CPUs operate at higher frequencies for quicker response. The elevated voltage remains safe.
The unit is available, though I experienced poor airflow. I wasn’t expecting such a significant impact on the readings. Ambient temperatures sit near 55 degrees.
Computers handle power in a way that balances safety and performance. High voltage doesn’t become dangerous just because frequency is high because they use controlled systems to manage energy flow. Shortening a CPU’s life isn’t guaranteed by high frequency alone—it depends on many factors like cooling, design, and usage patterns.
Not suitable under low current conditions. As I previously mentioned, this works best in systems with sufficient power, such as fulltower laptops. In a laptop, it functions differently, and during idle periods the processor remains active rather than resting.
