Set up a brand new Windows 10 64-bit version, but this issue occurred on two MOBO units, indicating it's not a MOBO-specific problem. It won't connect to the internet even though other devices work fine, and I'm unable to install drivers. I attempted to transfer the driver zip from my laptop via USB, but it fails due to compatibility warnings and won't run. This happened on both a ROG MOBO and an Aorus MOBO. The ASUS team confirmed it was a defect, so I filed an RMA despite it being a recurring problem. Anyone have any insights? Thanks!

Use a different Ethernet cable. Identify the shared component between the boards and replace it to test the outcome.

All things are standard and function properly across different devices.

It seems the issue might be connected to the M.2 drive rather than MOBO.

Finding the right steps to set up Windows on an M.2 drive can be tricky. Let me walk you through it clearly.

I'm trying to reinstall Windows again, though I really think it won't make a difference. This seems like an unusual problem; the only thing that comes to mind is the motherboard, but since it's been replaced, I'm not sure what to do.

Are you using a pirated copy of Windows or the official version from Microsoft? It seems odd that network drivers won't install. Windows 10 typically includes standard drivers post-installation, ensuring basic internet access. If you're having trouble starting Windows, check your RAM and SSD performance.

I can start up after a clean setup, this comes from a USB drive provided by Microsoft, so it’s genuine. There’s no internet connection and the drivers won’t install because they claim incompatibility.

Clean the M.2 device, then set up Windows on another system and attempt to boot it back onto your original machine while also removing the CMOS settings.
