External Orico 5 bay USB 3.0 dock blocks computer startup when plugged in. Usually I have to remove the USB cable and power on the PC. Once it starts, I reconnect the dock. I'm puzzled by this behavior—does the dock supply its own power? Could the power brick inside cause the issue? Is there a problem with the motherboard or the power source? Might there be a grounding concern? My system has a Gigabyte Z97X gaming 7, Intel i7-4790K processor, and a 620W Seasonic SII PSU. The LED on the motherboard indicates a post code of 64, matching the CPU initialization instructions in the manual.

The USB port you're using is limited by the CPU. This might explain the error message. The device doesn't accept the dock when starting up. It seems like a minor inconvenience. Consider testing other USB ports.

It seems like the device needs to be connected and disconnected manually. My dock only supports two bays and doesn’t allow plug-and-play functionality. I’ll test other ports using a different USB hub. Thanks.
