I've been facing this challenge for years, and it hasn't improved much. My setup includes a laptop with an external keyboard connected through a USB Type-A port. The machine runs Windows 11 Home version 22H2, and I've kept it updated as much as possible. Originally, it was on Windows 10. Over the past four years, I've used two keyboards: my current Razer Ornata V3 X and an older Dell model. When I don't have the external keyboard plugged in, everything works fine. However, sometimes the external one stops working entirely—volume and media controls still function, but other features fail. Once it's off, I need to restart the computer for it to work again. The problem worsens over time, and I can use other peripherals without issues. I've checked for updates, but nothing seems to resolve it. I've restarted three times in just a few hours today. Sometimes it takes a week before it shows up again. This is really frustrating, especially since I rely on this machine both at home and while traveling.
