Hi there, I'm looking for assistance with a recent issue I've encountered while switching storage drives. About three weeks ago, I decided to upgrade to a faster and larger drive for better performance and storage. The installation went smoothly, but soon after installing my new NVMe SSD, my computer began taking longer to sleep. I didn’t think much of it at first, but it’s become bothersome. I reached out here for advice on what might be causing the problem. I’ve read some suggestions about reinstalling the OS, but I’m not sure if that would erase all previous data. I also tried using the control panel to troubleshoot, but didn’t get any results. Thank you for your help!

By boot drive you’re referring to the HDD or SSD? If that’s correct, yes, it’s happened to me. After switching my SSD, it took years for the system to power down or sleep. I attempted to adjust settings and tweak the SSD, but nothing worked. One day it simply disappeared, and it hasn’t returned since. Check the BIOS settings—they might hold the key!

I switched from an SSD to a NVMe SSD for the boot drive. I think I'll explore the BIOS more if it doesn't work, hoping it resolves itself like it did for you. Thanks!
