The configurations appear identical on macOS. For testing purposes, the sending device will run macOS.

I think that's correct, but I don't have a Mac to check it. You should give it a try yourself

It works seamlessly on your MacBook Pro with minimal latency. The connection feels natural, and you won’t notice any difference between being on the device or through the cable. Regarding performance, it should handle the load well, though processing demands depend on your specific setup. For the Raspberry Pi 3B+, it should manage the 4K stream without major issues.

It's good to hear it's working for you. The Pi 3 B+ can handle 1080p at 60fps with HDMI 1.3, though it's not very powerful. The Pi 4 B supports 4K at 60fps, particularly on the 4GB or 8GB models.

There are lightning-fast options to position your screen and peripherals farther away. Linus shares tutorials on this topic. A great visual example is provided.

Tried it on my 3 B+ but it performed poorly—heavy stuttering and slow response times. The speed test showed only 300 Mbps over a direct connection. If you need better performance, consider checking your cable setup or upgrading your internet plan.

Checked both resolutions—1080p at 60fps and 4K at 60fps. For MacBook Pro, use it; for Pi4B with 4GB RAM, proceed.
