Hello, I'm looking for feedback on No Man's Sky after its PC release. The Steam reviews are largely negative—the game often crashes or runs very slow. Could you share your own experience with it? Please include your system details and any settings you're using so others can compare. Thank you!

Many German opinions describe the game as poor, with about 60% approval. It's a repetitive single-player grind simulator set in a fake world. Lacks factions and sadbox-style life mechanics. Amusing for a short time. Around 99% of the experience centers on resource grinding and item management.

I don’t own the game and haven’t bought it either. I’m not sure what the required specifications are, but for 1080p you’d need a 970/980/390/390X at maximum settings—probably to maintain 60+ fps constantly since there’s so much lag. I saw a video about it where someone says it doesn’t match the expectations. You’ll have to constantly gather resources just to stay alive on your world, which feels too realistic for a game without bases, supplies, or allies. It should get really enjoyable later, but early on it’s more about survival than exploration.

The game keeps losing despite having more powerful GPUs than expected. Overall, it feels like a mediocre experience. The gameplay lacks depth and the performance is terrible. It doesn’t seem worth the $60 investment.

It's strange considering the size is just 2.5GB.

I always skip pre-orders because it's way overpriced compared to what you get (like space-themed Minecraft without base-building or extras). Around $30 is the max I'd pay.
