Hello everyone, I'm setting up my first PC and just found out about Intel's PCIE lanes. They provide lanes with the CPU and additional ones on the motherboard. I'm checking if this will affect my build since I have a Core i9-9900K with only 16 PCIe lanes, plus an NVMe M.2 drive and two Thunderbolt 3 ports that also use PCIe lanes. Will I get optimal performance from both the NVMe drive and the ports?

The 16 PCIe lanes from the CPU connect to the graphics card. The chipset generates several PCIe lanes that reach different peripherals. The chipset itself links to the CPU via a method similar to an PCIe x4 connection.
