People often talk about AMD being superior to Intel or Nvidia, especially when it comes to graphics or performance. It’s a mix of trends and marketing that keeps gaining attention. AMD has carved out its own space by offering competitive pricing, strong performance in certain areas, and innovative features. Its recent growth reflects both technological advances and strategic moves in the market.

AMD delivers superior efficiency compared to Intel, matching performance closely while being markedly more affordable. They also provide significantly more cores. For graphics, Nvidia remains the clear leader without any doubt. While AMD's chips are budget-friendly, they fall short of reaching high-end models like the 2080 Ti.

It's simplest to evaluate benchmarks first and then consider pricing. AMD isn't top in every price range, but offers some very competitive processors (balancing cost and performance) in the market. There are also solid value boards available, especially since you can run memory above 2666/2933Mhz without spending over 150 USD. Notably, chips like the 3300X, 3600, 3700X, 3900X and Threadripper deliver excellent value for their price.

From a CPU perspective, I experience significantly improved performance at a better cost. Threading is essential, and modern high-end AMD processors offer ample support. Intel has been lagging behind for quite some time in this area, which is quite surprising. GPUs aren't as strong in terms of features, but I still have one. This is mainly because I use Linux and don’t need to install drivers, while AMD cards provide that convenience.

AMD's processors offer better value compared to graphics cards, though the gap is smaller in that area.

Yes, they also feature more processing units. AMD's top model offers 16 cores, whereas Intel's flagship has just 10. Nvidia stands out with better overall performance.
