It seems like a strange glitch to try and describe. I think I’ll get straight to it—every time I right-click the desktop and hover over "New," everything freezes except for programs like Task Manager and Chrome. I’ve seen similar problems online, and people suggest editing the registry with a tool like Windows Update Installer. I cleaned my registry using CCleaner, but the issue persists. Interestingly, when I logged in as an administrator and tried to create a new folder, Windows Explorer didn’t crash, which suggests it’s not a registry or OS corruption problem. Any thoughts?

Update the update button on this page right away. It will guide you through installing the latest version of Windows 10 "Creators Update." This process should find and fix any missing files, plus add many new features. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software.../windows10

You're using the latest Windows version, which should be sufficient. Your current OS version is 15063.296.
