Hello everyone,
I recently redownloaded Ubisoft to my computer, but my games are refusing to launch. I’ve reinstalled the program and copied all of my game files from an external hard drive into the Ubisoft folder, yet an error message related to anti-cheat is appearing and preventing them from running. What should I do? Does this indicate that I have lost access to my games?
It’s highly likely that Ubisoft consistently advises a full uninstall and subsequent reinstall of the Ubisoft Game Launcher each time you move or re-install your games. This stems from the fact that the Game Launcher stores all information regarding prior installations. Therefore, if “reinstalling Ubisoft” refers to Uplay, the same procedure applies to the Ubisoft Game Launcher. Ideally, they would engineer this functionality so the Game Launcher is automatically uninstalled and reinstalled alongside Uplay; however, considering Ubisoft’s approach, we're dealing with a somewhat illogical company.
I'm encountering difficulties reinstalling the software and moving my data with Ubisoft. However, I anticipate resolving these issues eventually.
