I suggest starting with Half-Life 1 and 2 for a solid introduction. For a broader experience, consider including Fallout titles as well. Other great options include Portal, Bioshock, and The Elder Scrolls series. These games offer varied gameplay and appeal to a wide audience.

Do you mean completing the game fully or simply observing its tutorial?

Half life may be outdated, and numerous guides already exist. Consider playing a fresh title generating excitement—perhaps Cyberpunk 2077 or upcoming console releases. Alternatively, look for free story-driven games from Epic Games.

These games are really enjoyable, and I appreciate their narratives. The story in Battlefield 1 is also charming and carefully crafted.

I’d include Witcher 3, TES: Moreowind, and Titanfall 2 in my list. I began playing TW3 a few nights back and it’s likely my top game ever. Morrowind remains solid today, I really appreciate the choice it offers. Titanfall 2 is the most enjoyable FPS campaign I’ve experienced. I also enjoy Overwatch, especially its story, though that’s thanks to my extensive playtime of over 400 hours.

Hey there. Here are some of my top picks: Divinity: Original Sin 2, Dragon Age: Origins, II, and Inquisition. I especially enjoyed the Dragon Age: Awakening expansion (Dragon Age: Origins), plus the Legacy and Mark of the Assassin DLCs (Dragon Age II). HEARTBEAT! Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3. Avoid Mass Effect: Andromeda. That one felt quite outdated. Neverwinter Nights 2 is solid. The original campaign was great, but the Mask of the Betrayer expansion stood out. Persona 4: Golden, Pillars of Eternity 1 & 2 are all RPGs. For a game to be satisfying, I usually focus on memorable companions and personalities first, then compelling stories and deep lore. If the gameplay is enjoyable, it’s even better. I lean slightly toward customizable characters and dynamic dialogue choices. If custom options aren’t available, a silent protagonist works well. Having a fixed, voiced character can be fun or frustrating depending on execution. When done well, the main character can be likable and inspiring; when not, they become dull and unrelatable, which I get really upset about.

My top picks for singleplayer stories and campaigns are games I haven’t considered yet. Witcher 3, Fallout 3, Fallout Nexus, Fallout 4, Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim Titanfall 2, Bioshock, Mass Effect, and Infinite. If you want the full collection, check Steam for Bioshock titles with remastered versions. Red Dead Redemption 2, Mass Effect, and Assassin’s Creed series are all eagerly anticipated releases this year. Cyberpunk 2077 is set for November 19th, Horizon: Zero Dawn will arrive on PS4 soon, and Marvel’s Avengers and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla follow closely after their initial drops. Andromeda received decent feedback. A new collection featuring the first three remastered games is on the way. Spec Ops: The Line and Halo series are now remastered for PC. The Assassin’s Creed series and The Metro series are building excitement with upcoming story-driven titles.

I'm eagerly anticipating the discount. I tried the early sessions on my Pro, but opted to wait for the PC version. Honestly, this is the biggest buzz I've seen lately—just want a title that feels powerful and lets me feel confident while playing.

Mass Effect offers the most compelling narrative I've experienced in any game. (Excluding the ending of 3...)
