Explanation of BIOS overclocking choices
Explanation of BIOS overclocking choices
Hello, I'm looking for a simple overview of various OC options and their impacts. I know the main ones such as CPU core voltage and frequency, DRAM voltage and speed. Examples include:
■ CPU Cache - core/cache current limit, min/max cache ratio (no specific guidelines given)
■ CPU system Agent voltage
■ PCH Core voltage
The idea of boosting the CPU cache through overclocking offers only slight gains, and the effort involved isn't justified. I'm seeking a clearer understanding of what these adjustments actually mean.
