I checked the attic and discovered several PC components and vintage laptops. I found an A Dell Vostro 1000 and wondered if there are other boards compatible with it besides the one already present. Since I won’t be using it often, I think I’ll pass it on to my nephew later. The specs are quite basic: 1GB RAM, 886MB RAM, AMD Athlon 64 TK-57 processor, and an outdated graphics card. Thanks ahead!

I know this is an old thread - but it has been coming up on Google searches. This laptop can support 8GB (2x 4GB) RAM but it’s picky and needs the latest BIOS. Easy enough really. 4GB works fine. The TL-66 CPU (with double the cache of the TK-57) brings up performance if you can find it cheap enough. The TL-68 will work but you need to be sure to use good quality paste. Anyway - this is a reply for the random people of the internet. Sucks when I’m trying to find answers and things are left unresolved (or just have “solved it!” as a reply with no info)
