Hello everyone, I recently set up a new PC: Asus TUF Gaming z570-PLUS (latest BIOS), Ryzen 5900X with 4x16GB DDR4 at 3600MHz, G.Skill Trident Z Neo - F4-3600C16D-32GTZNC Corsair RM1000x Samsung 980 Pro 1TB, and more. The issue is that my performance doesn’t match expectations. For example, in Cinebench R20 I’m getting 8080, but it should be around 8800. The single-core score is 620, which should be near 640. This happens even though I’m using DDR4-3200, which should provide more speed. Instead of being slower, my results are almost the same as before. It’s not just in Cinebench—it affects all tasks. After checking BIOS settings, everything seems default except DOCP, which is stuck at 3603MHz. I’ve tried resetting it to default, but the performance remains unchanged. Now my RAM runs at the standard DDR4 speed of 2133MHz and gives similar Cinebench results. Maybe something is wrong with ASUS BIOS or my setup? Anyone else experiencing similar problems? My memory was QVL for Ryzen 3 models, but now it’s missing from the list for Ryzen 5 series... This feels odd since Ryzen 5 should be supported. Cheers!

Keep in mind that every test was performed on fully clean equipment, making the results the most accurate possible. Background processes and ongoing tasks reduce the overall advantage noticeably.

docp was set to "on" rather than "auto." For certain boards, "auto" actually indicates shutdown. Adjusting it should work. Also, the difference between 620 and 640 in a single-core setup is minimal and may be caused by background processes or cooling systems.

It's true, those YouTube scores often rely on data from friends who can afford Ryzen 5 chips and various motherboards. What bothers me is the noticeable difference between DOCP enabled and disabled, but I didn’t notice it. My system runs Windows 10 with Kraken X63, maintaining around 70°C during intense use. @boggy77 I wasn’t sure to set it up in advance—I just selected Profile 1 from the dropdown. I also checked CPUZ and Ryzen Master, both showing a 3600Hz frequency, so I’m wondering if this is related to BIOS settings or timing issues that need manual adjustment.

I was aiming for under 7800 points on a multi-core setup, so I reset the BIOS (MSI B550) and ran stock without changing any settings. I reached around 8140 multi and 634 single. Then I enabled XMP, adjusted the timings to 3600 16-16-16-34, set PBO to advanced, and maximized everything except the curve optimizer. I went up to about 8700 multi while keeping 634 single. R23: 22489 multi and 1635 single, with test duration disabled.

It seems this could indicate a genuine BIOS issue, as similar problems are being discussed on Reddit. They’re looking forward to the next BIOS update resolving it.
