You're dealing with intermittent internet problems that vary in severity and timing. It sounds like your connection experiences sudden drops, especially when switching on or off your computer. The short duration of these interruptions makes it tricky to pinpoint the exact cause. You mentioned issues in gaming and online multiplayer, which could point to network instability affecting latency. It might also be related to router performance or driver conflicts. Since similar issues haven't occurred elsewhere on your network, it could be a localized problem with your setup. Testing different configurations or contacting your ISP may help clarify what's happening.

Are there multiple wifi devices connected at once? I'm checking for constant pings to google.ca on both wired and wireless connections to determine if it affects them. Since your connections are frequently dropping and resetting, it seems like a more serious issue than just a lag or pause. This suggests your router might be resetting or losing its NAT table. My initial thought would be to switch to another router if possible. It could help to try different network cables if you have any available, and also swap the cable between the modem and router as well as the PC to the router to see if that resolves the problem.
