I've faced ongoing FPS challenges in Destiny 2 after switching to Steam. My system includes a Ryzen 5 2600, an RTX 2060, 16 GB DDR4 3000 MHz RAM, and a Crucial P1 1TB SSD with other games and OS. Despite these specs, I've struggled to reach 60 FPS or even 144 FPS since returning in October. No unusual readings appear in MSI Afterburner, CPU/GPU usage is normal, and no obvious bottlenecks exist. I've updated drivers and checked the Nvidia Control Panel, but the issue persists. Any suggestions?

Game configurations? Are you applying a different setting for each game? (I’m not sure what the Nvidia option is called. AMD cards have another one) It seems this feature only applies in Destiny 2—it’s a Destiny-specific thing. If it shows up elsewhere, it might be a global setting issue or something else.

Adjusted the video settings to their minimum possible level, but the score remained at 60. It might be related to the game itself or a network problem. This issue has only occurred with Destiny 2 so far.

Your typical performance level is quite high for a new setup. You're seeing around 100 frames per second on your current configuration, which is impressive for a 3700x and 1070 model.

You're seeing high FPS but also over 70, possibly due to Vsync forcing. It seems like the GPU might be maxing out performance or conserving power when it hits 60 FPS. MSI isn't reporting odd activity, but you might want to check if any drivers or settings are causing this behavior.

It seems the GPU and CPU utilization were relatively low. The reason behind that isn't clear yet.

Yes, it occurs in other games as well.

Not really something I've observed much. Titles like Tekken 7 and MHW usually put the computer to work a bit, but not too much strain. Destiny 2 doesn't seem to push the system beyond normal operation, and neither do the GPU nor CPU temperatures reach the high 50s to 70s.

70c on the GPU seems correct, but it's better to check the actual GPU utilization. You might have unintentionally adjusted the render scaling in the graphics settings.

It doesn't reach that level, that's what I meant. And the resolution remains 100% as shown here: https://i.imgur.com/cK8dp6A.png
