You're facing unpredictable crashes while running intense games, especially in Unreal Engine. The screen sometimes turns black with red and blue pixels, and the system restarts or freezes. You've already replaced your graphics card and checked memory usage, but the issue persists. Your video card was replaced via RMA, yet the problem continues. No overheating signs have been observed.

You're using an RTX3080 graphics card paired with a Corsair 850W power solution.

It could be a power surge problem. A simple check involves setting a GPU power cap—perhaps around 350W or 300W. If the issue disappears, it suggests the power supply may not be managing the GPU's spikes.

Consider checking your Corsair PSU, RMx model. There might be older versions that can't manage the power spikes from the 3080, possibly triggering overcurrent protection. Also, verify if you connected both 3-pin and 3 cables or just two, with one being a 2x8pin cable.

The setup involves an RMx 2021 with two PCIe cables, one of which is linked via daisy chain to another connector. The power supply comes with just two connectors. It might be this configuration that's causing the problem.

It seems likely the issue stems from connecting multiple PCIe power cables to the same PSU. The manual suggests that for cards with higher TDP like the 3080, three separate cables are needed, and it’s reasonable to expect similar requirements across PSUs of the same class.

I understand you're reaching out about an ongoing issue. It seems like the connection setup is correct, but the problem persists. Could you share more details about what exactly is happening? It might help to check other components or settings.
