Experiencing system failure.
So I got a new Radeon rt 6800. Now the issue I am having and I am suspecting my PSU isn't enough. My system is listed below. Ryzen 7 5700x MSI x470 Gaming max motherboard Radeon RT 6800 16GB 32GB DDR 4 3 * 7200 rpm Hard drives 2 * 1TB nvme SSD's 650W Bronze Corsair PSU Finding out from you guys before I buy a bigger PSU.
You asked about the installation location of the operating system.
OS (Windows 11) is installed on one of my NVMe drives, specifically the one in slot 1 above the PCIe 1 slot.
The suggested PSU power rating is 525 WATTS. This figure applies at full load, though performance might vary if the unit is low quality. No specific model was provided, but user reports can help identify issues. Regarding your drives, their condition depends on overall system health—check for any error messages or unusual behavior.
Experiencing crashes during startup or while performing light tasks?
Did you verify your previous graphics drivers before adding the new card? If not, it’s advisable to perform a DDU and then install Adrenalin to obtain the most recent drivers and software for the 6800. If issues persist, providing a thorough explanation of the crash behavior would assist in identifying the problem.
It's struggling under heavy load, but a quick 3D mark time check shows it's holding up well (17k). On an undervolted setup, it finishes strong with a solid 35 fps and no crashes. Baldurs Gate 3 also performed great, reaching 120 fps with no issues. The event viewer didn't flag any problems.
