Experiencing stuttering while using 1080
Hey everyone, I just upgraded my EVGA 1080 ACX 3.0 with a new THURMAL PAIST. Everything seems fine after the first boot—playing War Thunder at over 400 FPS. I locked it to 60 Hz because I’m using a TV, but HWINFO showed it stayed under 73°C. It spiked up to around 91°C when unlocked, which is normal for the card. Still, it tends to drop to a minimum and then restart briefly. I’m aware of the overheating issue and plan to install the THURMAL PAIST mod. Any tips to prevent the stuttering?
It might be your TV, and restricting maximum frames could cause issues with 1080 resolution.
90c on a brand new card after thermal paste application is unusual. The 1080 ACX3 model appears to be designed for temperatures around 70-75°C. If your card is sealed without airflow and you're in a warm area, it might indicate an issue during the re-pasting process.
also i got a open case cooler master haf evo and that is after a run of cyberpunk benchmark ....and i repaisted 6 cards so far and thay all r fine so idk what i could of did wrong ...i understand there is a biso update for it and that thurmal pad mod and i lookin for the update and goin to buy 2mm thurmal pads i think to get the temps down.
