In the last two years I've managed a fairly solid-built computer that I assembled myself. Occasionally I experienced stutters while playing games. At first I thought it was due to Watch Dogs 2, but since it's a GPU-heavy title, I considered the GPU might just need some rest. Then I noticed it started stuttering in League of Legends, which doesn't rely on the GPU. Things like risk of rain, risk of rain 2, etc., also seemed to trigger the issue.
I'm now seeking assistance to resolve this problem.
My specifications are:
- 8600K Overclocked to 4.9 All cores Stabilized
- 1070Ti
- Z370 Extreme Motherboard
- 256 GB NVME Samsung 960 Evo
- 500 GB Samsung SSD EVO
- Cooling: H100i Corsair CPU Cooler
Extra: 1 x 6TB Western Digital Hard drive (Element) for storing games and other files.
Thank you all for your feedback.

Does the game experience stutter when run from an SSD? How many drives are active simultaneously? Have you experimented with reducing the OC? It's possible your OC has become unstable after two years of consistent use. This might not always be the case. You could also try adjusting the voltage and see if it improves performance. What are your RAM specifications?

Restore all your system settings back to their original state, beginning fresh.

The games indeed experience stuttering on the SSD. I attempted to increase the CPU overclock to 4.6ghz, but it didn't improve anything. My RAM specifications are 16GB with a 3200 MHz clock speed.

I've completed that task previously several months back.

It could help to use Display Driver Uninstaller to delete all existing NVIDIA display drivers and then reinstall them fresh. This might resolve issues caused by outdated driver versions interfering with newer ones, though it's not guaranteed.
