I own a MSI Gaming Trio X 3090 graphics card paired with a Ryzen 9 3900 processor, the ROG hero VIII (WIFI) motherboard, 48 DRR4 RAM from Corsair, an NZXT ELITE case with liquid cooling, and a PRISM+ gaming monitor that runs at 144Hz. I’m running Windows 10. After a few months, I upgraded from a 2060 RTX to the 3090. Initially, I played titles like Doom, Halo, and Minecraft RTX for about a month. The performance was solid with no noticeable drops in FPS, which is great. Recently, I resumed playing Destiny 2 and found the gameplay enjoyable without any concern over frame rates. However, I’ve noticed others achieving smooth 140 to 160 FPS in combat areas, which is the highest I see in empty spaces. I’ve watched several tutorials—Jarv's Witch Queen, Beyond Light, and a Destiny 2 performance guide—to boost my numbers. While my results haven’t drastically improved beyond a few frames, I’m following the advice closely. Over the past week, I’ve tried various settings: DDU safe mode, re-enabled GeForce Experience, adjusted bar sizes, activated Ultimate Performance mode, used Task Manager to prioritize Destiny 2, and checked with 3Dmark. The scores varied, but I managed around 17,000 FPS during testing. Background apps are handled well, and my game runs smoothly on a 75% full SSD. I also explored using all available cores in Steam, though it didn’t significantly change outcomes. My CPU usage stayed between 10-25%, while GPU utilization hovered at 60-80%. The takeaway is consistent 140 FPS in action, with stable performance regardless of location. I’m still experimenting with settings like FORCENOVSYNC and HIGH priority to see if they help. I’m using 4K HDR 3440/1440 widescreen for optimal visuals.
