Experiencing slow internet while playing online.
I know cable offers significantly faster downloads compared to upload speeds, but the internet speed test shows a nearly balanced result. During today’s session the server reported connection problems for users in North America and suggested using a VPN. Someone else mentioned it might add extra latency, which is confusing since I’m already on Wi-Fi. If the path to the server is problematic, I might proceed with that route, hoping the added delay isn’t too severe. My add-on reports 3.5kbps downloads but upload speeds are stuck between 0 and 0.1 kbps. I think the game expects my client to upload as much as it downloads, unless the data is particularly heavy. Unless cable’s strength for downloading outweighs its upload limitations, I’m unsure. It could also be that Wi-Fi isn’t performing better at uploading than downloading. The server issues in NA might influence this too—maybe poor routing affects download performance.
