I recently acquired a new GTX 760 2GB graphics card (previously using an AMD HD5870 1GB) and am now experiencing horizontal screen tearing while playing Fortnite. Other games perform correctly. The issue arises when I maintain a 60fps lock, frequently hitting 61fps which then causes the tearing effect. My inquiry concerns how to resolve this without utilizing VSync, as I want to avoid any noticeable input lag. Thank you for your assistance.

Why not? That’s the reason for vertical synchronization.

You might attempt to modify your display parameters to prevent screen distortion, but that's fundamentally attempting to manage something inherently unstable.

I experienced a comparable issue in the past and ultimately accepted V-sync as the solution; otherwise, I consistently encountered tearing directly across my aiming reticle.
