I recently moved the program files and executables to my secondary storage drive using mklink. Some users have reported problems afterward, though theirs don’t match mine. I’m having trouble opening Windows Store, photo viewer, movies & tv, email, or groove music. It’s not a major loss for extra space on my OS SSD, but I want to know if there are solutions. My main issue is that whenever I try to launch a program or open a file linked to it, it crashes immediately and sometimes shows the file path instead of starting. During troubleshooting, I noticed services like WS seem missing—there should be a license and another service, but they’re absent. This likely relates to the directory move and mklink operation. I also can’t access certain areas like the default apps section; I end up in the settings area where it closes abruptly. This complicates things further. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you for your help—I’ve already tried basic fixes like resetting apps, but I’m open to alternatives. I’m okay with using third-party programs as defaults if possible.
