When using different applications, clicking Search doesn't open it. It appears only when navigating from the Home Screen. The same issue occurs in the Settings app—tapping on the left side makes it seem like the right side is selected. This happens only within Microsoft-associated apps. I’m not experiencing problems in Chrome or elsewhere. I attempted to resolve the issue with GetAppX, but it persists. A fresh Windows installation didn’t fix it either. I’ve tested various keyboards and mice, but the problem remains. Odd behavior.

Are you trying to reinstall? It seems unclear what you're doing with your system. Maybe the problem lies there.

I'm working on updating Windows now. I just reinstalled it because the issue arose, and I tried using the GetAppX command to reinstall, but it's still having problems.

It seems a system adjustment was made on Windows 10, causing issues like the Search icon not displaying correctly. The Cortana circle should appear on the taskbar instead.

Cortana isn't accessible in Malaysia at all.

Even without Cortana active, the icon remains available. You’ve accomplished something that caused a disruption.

Unlikely I would damage anything if I had just recently set up Windows (I did that GetAppX step before reinstalling). I've noticed some computers in Malaysia only have the Search feature instead of Cortana, which is only available by setting the region to the United States. It still doesn't clarify why Settings and Microsoft Edge aren't functioning properly.
