I began playing Apex Legends and noticed my frame rate is quite poor. I’m averaging 60-70 frames on the lowest settings, but it frequently dips to 40-50 during gameplay or in specific areas. Is the game poorly optimized, or is my computer simply inadequate?

My 1070 achieves approximately 60 frames per second with the highest settings and roughly 90 FPS when utilizing the lowest, though the distinction isn't substantially apparent – which is puzzling. It’s quite frustrating as I can attain approximately 100 frames per second while playing Battlefield 1 at the maximum settings. Conversely, my Xbox One X renders the game visually impressive and maintains a consistent 60 frames per second.
